I’ve just finished running the 2-day Introduction to Digital Photography training workshop with a great group of photographers who had travelled from Essex, Suffolk, London and Kent the photography training.

Over the two days I cover everything to take you away from using the Auto setting on your DSLR camera including, taking control of aperture, shutter speed, metering, white balance and ISO and more. In addition by the end of day 2 everyone learns how to go fully manual with their camera and how to take great photographs by applying some of the composition techniques that I teach.

On both days 1 and 2 of this workshop we go out with our cameras ad put into practise the new skills everyone has learnt. This is a great opportunity to try the various techniques and gives everyone a huge boost in confidence but also allows everyone to capture some great images.

Wedding Photography Course – Advanced Training Workshop

I have been running a 2 day advanced wedding photography workshop for a great group of up and coming photographers who had traveled from Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Essex to attend this professional wedding photography training course

On day 1 in the morning we touch on the wedding photography business and then all the entire afternoon is spent at an Essex wedding venue with our bride and groom models for the wedding photography training session where I introduce to the students different ways in which to capture and photograph a wedding but more importantly how to photograph the wedding couple to create unique and wonderful images. This includes understanding light, composition work flow and communication all so that the couple will have amazing photographs for their wedding album

For this wedding photography training session we visited Maidens Barn in High Easter, Essex as the venue and they had prepared the area where they undertake outdoor weddings. Maidens Barn is a beautifully restored barn which also has lovely gardens as well. The weather was absolutely glorious and emphasised why being a photographer is such a fantastic profession to be in.

On day 2 of the wedding workshop part of the morning is spent reviewing everyone’s images from the previous day and providing a critique so that they can improve their photography even further, to ensure that they stand out from other wedding photographers. We then move onto power marketing, developing a personal brand, shooting to sell as well as other specialist techniques to appeal to their ideal client.

The course is suitable for anyone just entering the arena of wedding photography but also for professional photographers who now want to move up to the next level in their photography.
